A fast, effective service restoration method is designed fornlarge-scale distribution systems with priority customers. The servicenrestoration problem is formulated as a constrained multi-objectivenoptimization problem. A ranking-based search method employing analyticalninformation obtained from three-phase power flow simulations is designednto restore service to as many priority customers as possible whilenmaximizing the amount of total load restored and minimizing the numbernof required switch operations. The proposed method is designed withnconsideration to networks which have predominantly manual switches.nComprehensive simulation results of the search method, includingnpriority customers, single and multiple faults and multiplenout-of-service areas are presented for a 416 bus distribution network
