In the next few months Petrobras will start the billionaire orders for drilling rigs for pre-salt petroleum fields. Sete Brasil Participates S.A. (Sete Brasil) will administrate the construction of 33 rigs to be delivered for Petrobras. It took three years for these tenders to be issued. The President of Petrobras, Maria das Gracas Foster, does not want to repeat this delay with suppliers and is now devising strategies to overcome bottlenecks in the national industry or sign some contract abroad.
