Modernising Moin

A special ceremony was held on 8 March to celebrate the ground-breaking of APM Terminals'(APMT's) new development in Moin, Costa Rica.The country's president, Luis Guillermo Solis, was on hand for the special occasion, which marked an important step forward in what has already been a long and complicated process. It was back in 2011 when APMT won a 33-year concession to build and operate a container terminal in Moin, Costa Rica. As is often the case when a deep-pocketed international player comes on the scene and promises a sweeping change, the local port and labour interests moved to protect the status quo.
