Glencore joins Singapore’s SMX exchange

Glencore has joined the fledgling Singapore nMercantile Exchange as a trading member, nthe SMX said Thursday. The Switzerland-nbased trading company lines up as the third nnamed trade member of the exchange. In nJune, SMX said Switzerland-based Vitol, one nof the world’s biggest oil traders, had signed non as one of its first trade members, along nwith TransMarket Group, a trading company nbased in Chicago, US. SMX launched two ncrude futures contracts earlier this month.
