Commissioner Tony Clark will not seek another term on the FederalrnEnergy Regulatory Commission, he announced late last week, citing anrninterest in turning to something new and a desire to give potentialrncandidates a heads up about his intent to move on.rnClark, a Republican who joined the commission in 2012, disclosedrnhis plans to leave the commission Thursday at the open FERC meeting.rnHis term runs through June, though he could stay through a gracernperiod running until the end of the current session of Congressrnsometime next fall. Clark allowed that he may stay on during the gracernperiod, depending upon the circumstances.rnEven with Clark's departure, the commission would have a quorumrnto operate with three Democratic members. There is no prohibition onrnvoting based on the party affiliation of commissioners but rather arnquorum hinges on the number of sitting commissioners.rnCommissioner Philip Moeller stepped down from FERC in October,rnleaving FERC with four sitting members, including three Democratsrnand one Republican.
