Arizona regulators seek APS political spending records

Investigating political influence by the state's largest utility, the Arizona Corporation Commission asked Arizona Public Service Co. and its parent company to turn over records of spending on the last four commission elections. Commission Chairman Bob Burns and Commissioner Boyd Dunn on Wednesday sent a letter to APS and its affiliates asking for information on their political spending on candidates for commissioner and threatening a subpoena if they do not comply.
