Interregional transmission planning for US East Coast offshore winddevelopment will be critical to meeting state goals, because after theinitial projects are developed there will be limited capacity foradditional projects to connect to onshore power grids, stakeholdersand developers said Oct. 29.Atlantic Coast states have offshore wind power capacity goals thattotal 37.5 GW between now and 2040, according to a presentationgiven by a group of clean energy advocates during an Inter-RegionalPlanning Stakeholder Advisory Committee meeting.
