Peak demand in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas is projected totumble Friday as temperatures across the region drop, pulling ERCOTnext-day power prices down 66%.ERCOT North Hub day-ahead on-peak shed $37.50 to trade in theupper $10s/MWh on the Intercontinental Exchange for Friday delivery,the lowest price since mid-April.On Friday, ERCOT systemwide peakload is forecast to plunge 32%to around 42,845 MW, according to the grid operator. Friday’s forecastdemand is the lowest since mid-May.
