India struggles to secure gas supply

Despite pursuing three international natural gas pipeline projects, Delhi has yet to securena deal that can meet growing domestic demand. The Iran-Pakistan-India pipeline is thenmost advanced option, but reaching a final agreement is proving illusive. The projectnremains fraught with political difficulties, not least the threat that cooperation with Irannon gas may endanger support from the US on nuclear power.
