Africa: no power, no growth

For Africa, the power dilemma can be summed up simply: no electricity, no economic growth. Cash-strapped governments are turning to the private sector for capital they cannot provide. However, they are also reluctant to relinquish control over an industry that has been their preserve for decades. Renewable energy sources may prove a key entry point for IPPs.
