Australia’s GLNG to invest $706 million in new supply

The Gladstone LNG project on the east coast of Australia isshoring up its supplies with a capital investment of A$900million ($706 million) in upstream developments this year,project partner Santos said February 27. The investmentwill be for developments around the Fairview, Scotia andArcadia fields, as well as providing the first year of fundingfor the new A$750 million Roma East project, which will bedeveloped over the next three years, Santos said.The company officially launched the Roma Eastproject February 27, following the drilling of the first of 430new wells.
