PEC targets Romandie PV

PrimeEnergy Cleantech plans to develop solar power stations throughout French-speaking Romandie in Switzerland, beginning with a CHF 800,000 (€647,000), 185-kW plant at Besencens in canton Vaud, it said July 26. Five or six projects are on the agenda for Vaud and canton Fribourg, with Geneva lined up for 2014. The plans are going ahead despite the fact that, with over 20,000 solar projects on Swissgrid's waiting list, the projects will not receive KEV federal subsidies.
