摘要

Hungarian oil and gas company MOL has increased its stake in Croatian oil and gas company INA to 47.15% following a successful voluntary public offer, MOL said October 10 following the release of official figures by Croatia's Central Depository Agency. MOL, which already owned 25% plus one share in INA from a privatization process in 2003, will acquire about 2.2 million shares representing 22.15% of INA's equity, for a transaction value of Kuna 6.2 billion ($1.19 billion).rnMOL offered in August to buy all INA's publicly traded shares or around 31% of INA for Kuna 2,800/share ($575/share). The Hungarian company said it had secured the funds for the transaction."I believe that with the public offer we have shown our commitment in a transparent way towards both INA and Croatia," said MOL chairman and CEO Zsolt Hernadi in a statement. "With the high acceptance of the public offer we have made another important step toward the realization of our strategic goal: strengthening the partnership with INA.
