Russian crude producer Russneft expects to keep output at 14.2 million mt (284,000 b/d) in 2008 - around the same level as last year, a source in the company said March 14. Crude output in 2007 showed a 3.4% decline from 14.7 million mt in 2006 due to the sale of subsidiary Severneftegaz to TNK-BP, the source said. In 2007, organic output was flat on the year, he added. The company's proven reserves are estimated at 1.26 billion barrels of oil equivalent, including 1.1 billion barrels of oil and 978.4 Bcf of gas as of January 1, 2007. The output forecast comes as Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service is still considering the purchase of Russneft by Basic Element, the holdingrncompany of Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska.
