The Bayou Flow Technologies (BFT) insulation facilities are located adjacent to the Bayou Companies main complex at the Port of Iberia, in New Iberia, LA. Bayou has been at the Port since the 1970s and both Perma-Pipe and Cuming added their facilities in the late 1990s. With all of the partner companies at one location, BFT offers to the end user the advantage of a logistically friendly "one stop shop" where all operations can take place. The complex has both rail and water frontage which offers BFT the unique opportunity to receive bare pipe, double joint the pipe if required, apply the corrosion coating and the insulation and then load out the finished product directly onto a supply or contractor barge for delivery to the lay contractor, offering a significant cost effective advantage to the client. BFT is the only full service insulation applicator located "on the water" for the Gulf of Mexico.
