National Academy of Sciences Urges EPA to Study Low-Dose Endocrine Disruption

Anew report by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NAS) recommends to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) a strategy to evaluate the evidence of adverse human health effects from low-dose exposure to chemicals that can disrupt the endocrine system. EPA's Endocrine Disruption Screening Program (EDSP) is years behind schedule and has been criticized for using outdated methods.
