With market improved, parties to 2005 settlement seek new deadlines under seal to sell Malvern TCE parcel

The parties to a consent decree that settled the United States' CERCLA action against four defendants for a total of $1.4 million plus interest with respect to the Malvern TCE Superfund site in Chester County asked the federal court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on July 16 to set new deadlines under seal for selling some of the property. (See issue of May 15,2006 P. 6 anad 29.) "The defendants' obligations to the United States to sell by a certain date is confidential information that would alter the otherwise standard relationship between the defendants and any potential buyer or buyers," according the motion.
