Supreme Court denies reconsideration of ruling that core of Act 13 violates public's right in shale drilling

Without comment, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court denied on Feb. 21 reconsideration of its decision holding that several core provisions of Act 13 violates the Commonwealth's duties as trustee of Pennsylvania's public natural resources under the Environmental Rights Amendment to the Commonwealth's Constitution with respect to oil and gas development in residential and agricultural areas in the Marcellus Shale.
