Advances in pediatric obesity research

摘要

Pediatric obesity research focuses on four major areas: prevention and treatment using lifestyle modifications; prevention and treatment using pharmacological or surgical approaches; observational studies on the comorbidities of childhood obesity; and investigations of the genetic and hormonal causes of childhood obesity. This article will review recently reported and ongoing clinical and basic science research on these topics.
