Yorkshire Packaging Systems completed a hat-trick of installations into the Tiptree factory of Wilkin & Sons, a long established family business producing jams and preserves and the proud holder of a Royal Warrant. When Wilkin's equipment needed replacing, YPS supplied a fully automatic side-feed sleeve wrapper for trayed products, complete with a unique high-speed low maintenance sealing jaw providing reliable, consistent seals on polythene film and a shrink tunnel with heavy duty steel mesh belt with side chains. The order was for one unit, however within six months two further lines were supplied. John Brownlie commented: "The equipment was running within hours performing beyond expectations. We had no hesitation in purchasing second and third units."
