PLA blow after rejection by Innocent and Treofan

Polylactic acid's (PLA) position in the packaging market suffered two blows last month as Innocent Drinks and film producer Treofan both said they would stop using the material. Innocent said it was focusing on 100% recycled plastic bottles because commercial composting, which is required for PLA, was "not yet a mainstream option in the UK".
