Final Operating Capability for the platform was declared in April 2016, albeit with caveats that included the Tiger not yet being qualified on board the Royal Australian Navy's LHDs. This started in February 2017 with Tigers conducting First of Class Flight Trials on board HMAS Canberra and culminated earlier this year when a quartet of Tigers and 80 personnel from the 1st Aviation Regiment at Darwin deployed on board HMAS Canberra while the ship was taking part in Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2019 (IPE19) around Asia.
