摘要

Fatalities are down, but grisly construction accidents continue to end careers and change lives. Constructing homes, commercial buildings, and roads continues to be one of the most dangerous occupations in the United States. According to NIOSH, more than 15 out of every 100,000 workers are killed each year. One estimate suggests that as many as 150,000 construction-site accident injuries occur each year. This Compliance Report looks at a leader-driven safety program that dares to suggest the possibility of no accidents. We learn about a pilot training project created around the idea that improved leadership skills can reduce accidents and injuries on construction sites. And we find out what motivated judges to name one construction company the safest in America.
