The first time I used Data-Times, we were on deadline at a mid-sized daily newspaper and a reporter needed a background story about a large company that was on the verge of going belly-up. A co-worker in the news library walked me through the search. Keying in a set of words and abbreviations, she pulled the story out of the system the way a magician produces a diaphanous scarf from an innocent bystander's ear.
