Practical Knowledge and Information Management

When Matt Walsh and I were asked to write a new book about knowledge and information management (KIM), the first thing we thought was, "As practitioners, what is the book we would like to read?" We realized that what was missing from the groaning shelves of KIM literature was something aimed at people dealing with everyday KIM issues in real-life organizations, with their idiosyncrasies and imperfections. Rather than writing, "What would the ideal KIM-savvy organization look like?" we aimed for, "How can you best help your organization improve its knowledge and information management?"
