Sunoco Joins Others, Nixes Refinery Projects

Sunoco has decided to not proceed with a previously announced distillate hydrotreater project at the Tulsa refinery, Terence Delaney, vice president of investor relations and planning, said during an earnings conference call. By eliminating this project, the company's capital spending for 2009 will drop by about $375 million.
