The device has a thermal cooling element (100) coupled with semiconductor light sources (120, 124) e.g. halogen lamps. The cooling element comprises cooling bodies (102, 104) with first and second projections (110, 116) e.g. cooling fins, that are separated from each other by first and second interstices (108, 114) and protruded from plates (106, 112), respectively. The cooling bodies are joined together so that the first projection is projected in the second interstice and the second projection is projected in the first interstice.
