To join an outer member and an inner member together by projection welding, in such a state that concentricity between the outer member and the inner member is properly maintained while preventing an inner circumferential surface of the outer member from being damaged.SOLUTION: A projection joining device is provided with a collet chuck 50 having a plurality of clamp parts 52 for clamping an inner circumferential surface of an outer member (outer drum 13) in a radial direction so as to be substantially concentric with an inner member (inner drum 110). On each of the clamp parts 52, a rolling member (roller 57) which has a rotary shaft in a direction orthogonal to an axial direction, is brought into contact with the inner circumferential surface of the outer member and enables relative movement in the axial direction with respect to the clamp part in such a state that the inner circumferential surface of the outer member is clamped in the radial direction by collet chuck 50, is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
