摘要

The state of Georgia has developed “Assistance at the Pump,” an initiative designed to promote assistance for disabled motorists at the gas islands – instead of requiring station employees provide the help, according to an announcement. During the 2021 legislative session, Georgia Rep. Henry Howard (D-Augusta) had introduced House Bill 437, which would have required gas station employees to dispense fuel for disabled drivers who need assistance. However, after some discussion with Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black (R), Howard dropped the mandate and agreed to a solution that takes advantage of the preexisting state department of agriculture inspection decal that’s affixed to gas pumps.
