From the States: E15 waiver gets OK from Ky. Lawmakers

Kentucky’s legislature has approved a bill (SB 94) that wouldextend a 1 lb. Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP) waiver to E15, allowingthe higher ethanol blend to be sold in the state year-round.The legislation, overwhelmingly approved by theKentucky House and Senate, was sent to Gov. Andy Beshear,who is expected to sign it into law.Under the bill, the state’s fuel regulations would berevised to state that gasoline containing up to 15% ethanolwould be eligible for the 1 lb. RVP waiver. The change wouldbring the state’s regulations in line with EPA’s May 2019 finalrule that provided the waiver to E15, removing restrictionsthat had prevented the sale of the fuel in parts of the U.S.from June 1 through Sept.15.
