A UK shipbuilder has been appointed as agent by one of the world's leading marine diesel engine makers. McTays, the shipbuilding subsidiary of HS Ocean Holdings (HSOH), as signed an agreement to distribute Doosan marine diesel engines in the UK, Nigeria, Gabon and Congo. McTays will supply both mechanical engines and next-generation electronically controlled engines that comply with European emission criteria. Potential customers include the fishing fleets operating off the UK coast, as well as tugs, crew transfer vessels, passenger ferries and offshore supply and support vessels.
