Maritime Partner is one of the best known of the boatbuilders in northwest Europe and recently secured orders from the offshore sector and large-scale orders from the military sector. Farstad Shipping, one of the leading providers of specialised offshore tonnage for the international oil and gas industry, recently took delivery of its 75th boat produced by Maritime Partner, and there are more to come. The Alusafe 770 Mk Ⅱ Work was delivered to Farstad's anchor-handling tug/supply (AHTS) vessel Far Sailor, a UT 722 design originally built at Vard Langsten. The vessel was recently upgraded, including a new Alusafe unit. "Farstad Shipping is one of Maritime Partner's largest clients," said John Ivar Olsen, senior vice president, marketing, at Maritime Partner. "We are very proud that Farstad has now received a total of 75 boats of Maritime Partner design. Four more offshore support vessels are under construction for Farstad with programmed delivery in 2014 and 2015, and all of them will be equipped with a fast rescue craft from Maritime Partner."
