Vessel owners wait for Iranian sanctions to be lifted

The lifting of international sanctions on Iran would reinvigorate the offshore support vessel (OSV) market in the Middle East, but increasing oil exports from the country would have a dampening effect on oil prices. On 14 July 2015, six world powers and Iran reached an accord, after years of talks, that will remove sanctions on Iran's oil industry if the country scales back nuclear activities. However, it will not receive sanctions relief until the International Atomic Energy Agency verifies that Iran has complied with cuts to its nuclear programme.
