摘要

Despite the steep fall in oil prices, there are still some owners in the Middle East adding new vessels to their fleets in order to ensure that they are prepared for the amount of work still on offer at a time when energy companies have trimmed back their investment. United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based E-marine has ambitious plans to expand its fleet of cablelaying vessels. It docked the latest vessel to join its fleet, CS Maram, in March ahead of its maiden project. The vessel was built in Abu Dhabi for the installation and maintenance of subsea cables, including fibre optics, for offshore developments as well as telecommunications projects.
