Unclaimed injury payments

Some NHS workers who sustained a workplace injury or suffered ill health as a result of their job have not received a payment under the NHS injury benefit scheme because they were not given the right information about making a claim. The Department of Health is now encouraging people who worked in the NHS in England or Wales between November 1985 and 31 March 1998, were injured or made ill by their work, and have suffered a permanent loss of earnings as a result, to come forward.
