'Fee for fault' charging plan under consideration for H&S offenders

Hse chair Judith Hackitt has given some indication of how the Executive plans to fill the funding deficit left by the 35% cut in its budget outlined in the Government's recent Comprehensive Spending Review. Government funding currently represents two thirds of HSE's budget but with this funding being reduced by around a third over the next four years, new revenue avenues need to be explored.
