Good safety performance spills over into a company's service culture and improves customer satisfaction levels, US scientists have found. They reached their conclusions after studying one large electric utility company in the mid West. The company was in the top 25 per cent for safety performance in its industry but performance fluctuated, improving temporarily after a safety initiative only to fall away again after a few months.
