The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has updated the page on fire and explosion risks on its printing industry website. The information has been updated in accordance with the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002 (DSEAR) and details some of the main risks of fire or explosion associated with the printing industry. There is also guidance on What you need to do, such as what the risk assessment should cover, what control measures should be in place and the standards that equipment should adhere to. The page has links to other relevant HSE sites and publications, such as an advice sheet on manual handling and a guide to the safe use of power-operated paper-cutting guillotines.
