Working conditions

摘要

A new guide from the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI) calls for a revival in social action for the improvement of working conditions and argues that health and safety in the workplace is intrinsically linked to wider social change. The guide aims to give a complete, up-to-date overview of European Union (EU) occupational health and safety policy, looking at the background, key players and how the system works. According to the ETUI, the intension of the guide is to help health and safety representatives in particular gain a better understand- ing of how the EU functions and how they can work with it more effectively.
