The Research Excellence Framework may prioritise 'perfection' in research design over the pragmatism required for real-world organisational research, 4. There may be little incentive for academic researchers to publish in practitioner-orientated journals, 5. The combination of practitioners' and academics' knowledge and skills can result in important applied OH research.
