USB for Projects on a Budget

Adding a USB interface to a device can seem like a daunting task. Every USB device must contain device-controller hardware and must have a software driver in the PC. Many options exist for device controllers and drivers, and the right choices can make a big difference in how quickly you get a project up and running. This article shows three ways to add USB to devices. Each takes a different approach, but all are suitable for devices built in small quantities and on limited budgets.
