The government budget for 2004,approved by King Fahd on 15 December,projects a deficit of SR 30 billion (US8 billion),forecasting total revenues at SR 200 billion and estimating expenditure at SR 230 billion.For 2003,revenues were forecast at SR 170 billion,while expenditure was estimated at SRr 209 billion,implying a shortfall of SR 39 billion (AOG,16 Dec.,203).
