摘要

The production of element 114 has been confirmedbyrnresearchers at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, 10 years after a team at Russia's Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, at Dubna, announced its production. Two isotopes of the element-one with 172 neutrons, the other with 173-were produced in Berkeley's 88-inch cyclotron through the bombardment of a plutonium-242 target with beams of calcium-48 ions.
