Four contentions go to license renewal hearing

Un August 4, an Atomic safety and Licensing Board (ASLB) issued a memorandum and order stating that a hearing will be held on Pacific Gas and Electric Company's (PG&E) application to renew the licenses of the two reactors at the Diablo Canyon site near Avila Beach, Calif. The ASLB granted standing to the citizen organization San Luis Obispo Mothers for Peace and admitted (in altered form) four of the five contentions the group had submitted.
