On September 1, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission made available the proposed Revision 3 to Regulatory Guide 1.160, Monitoring the Effectiveness of Maintenance at Nuclear Power Plants, along with a regulatory analysis related to the proposal. The revision reflects the NRC's endorsement of revision 4A of the industry-based document NUMARC 93-01, Industry Guideline for Monitoring the Effectiveness of Maintenance at Nuclear Power Plants, issued in April 2011 by the Nuclear Management and Resources Council.
