Calvert Cliffs-3 The Nuclear Regulatory Commission informed UniStar Nuclear Energy on January 20 that the final environmental impact statement (EIS) for Calvert Cliffs-3, which had been scheduled for completion on February 18, will be delayed until UniStar resolves issues that have been raised by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (US ACE). In particular, while UniStar has provided air emissions estimates for construction work subject to NRC oversight, and estimates for the project as a whole, the applicant has not yet provided estimates for emissions from work under USACE jurisdiction. The final EIS would complete the environmental review for UniStar's application for a combined construction and operating license (COL).
