In addition to what is reported elsewhere in this section, the following developments have recently occurred in connection with new reactor licenses, permits, and certifica-tions (listed here in chronological order of first submittal). An Atomic Safety and Licensing Board was named on February 23 to consider a new contention on the operating license application for the second power reactor at TVA Nuclear s Watts Bar site in Tennessee. The hearing record is closed, but a citizen organization, Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, has asserted that the final safety analysis report does not include information provided in the 2014 Expedited Seismic Evaluation Process Report for the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, which found that the potential ground acceleration is greater than the safe shutdown earthquake assumed in the plant's design (NN, Mar. 2015, p. 18). Paul S. Ryer-son chairs the ASLB, with Gary S. Arnold and Richard E. Wardwell also as judges.
