Robot measures PWR baffle-former assembly void swelling

摘要

Seattle-based Newton Labs has developed an automated robot to accurately measure void swelling and irradiation growth of the baffle-former assembly. The robot was originally used for measuring degradation in boiling water reactor barrels and has now been modified for barrel inspection in pressurized water reactor reactors.
