UK-based Rolls-Royce said today thatthe Small Modular Reactor (SMR)consortium it leads has a target of 2029for commissioning SMRs in the UK.The consortium, which also includesARUP, Laing O'Rourke, Nuvia, and WoodGroup, plans to install and operate such"factory-built power stations" capableof competing on price with low-costrenewables such as offshore wind.
