Consultation by CoRWM

The Committee on Radioactive Waste Management (CoRWM) was set up by the government as an independent body in November 2003 to recommend a strategy for long-term management of the UK's higher-activity, solid, radioactive waste. When introducing the committee's consultation document, Gordon MacKerron (the CoRWM Chair) said that the document's publication commenced the second round of public and stakeholder engagement and so CoRWM would like to hear from us particularly on: 1. the proposed short-list of waste management options; 2. the proposed process and criteria for assessing the short-listed options; 3. what matters to us about the way in which the decided-on option(s) should be implemented.
